Covid Awareness ( 27th,28th July & 15th August )
A session by Priyanka Mam and Narendra sir on behalf of Science department was taken to aware the teachers about Covid 19 in which a brief discussion was done about virus and vaccine. The session was a informative session through which the teachers were a bit relieved from the pandemic.
Book Talk ( 4th August)
The teachers actively took part in a book talk organized by the literacy club of the school. A novel was presented by every teacher in front of the fellow colleagues through which they motivated in one or the other way to read and comprehend more. Some of the best sellers were illustrated by the staff members.
Adoloscence (25th, 30th September & 7th October and 14th October)
A series of sessions were taken to put a limelight on characteristics of adolescents, theories, problems and solutions were explained to the teachers. The session was basically more helpful for the secondary school teachers as they deal with such children on day to day basis. The hormonal changes in the child were also discussed.
Quotation talk (28th September)
By the literacy club under the supervision of Leena mam a quotation talk was organized for the staff in which teachers expressed their life experiences by picking few quotations which inspired others to lead a good life. Some of the inspirational quotations were very inspiring which made a lot of change in the view of people.
Art and Craft (5th October)
The teachers learnt flower making using color papers which will further help them to decorate their classroom boards. The activity enhanced their cutting and Pasting skills. The session was conducted by Aparna Mam in which she with the help of a square taught the teachers to cut and make 5 kind of different flowers with same size of paper.
Yoga and Aerobics session (7th October)
At the time of pandemic where all are stressed and fearful yoga and aerobics session was done by Pratyusha mam to make the teachers relaxed as well as active. The teachers participated actively and learnt some exercises including Surya Namaskar so they can keep themselves fit and healthy.
Skill orientation ( 3rd, 4th & 5th November)
Subject skill orientation was conducted by the secondary staff department wise where the teachers explained the skills and concepts of their particular subject. The teachers explained about the skills which are needed by them to teach in class for the students. It was a two day program in the afternoon exclusively for the teachers.
Mandala Maths (5th November)
A session was organized by the Math club to enhance the skill of geometry in the teachers in the form of Mandala Maths. The teachers learnt the tricks and techniques of using geometrical equipments in drawing different shapes and objects. It helps to develop asthetics sense in the staff. The session was a fun filled session where the teachers enjoyed drawing and coloring. To celebrate the festivity of Deepawali teachers did an activity based on flower and leaves arrangement under the guidance of Aparna mam. The Marigold flowers and mango leaves are considered to be very auspicious which are used to decorate houses at the time of festivals. an active participation was given by the staff.
Stress and anxiety ( 7th November)
Session based on stress and anxiety was conducted n Saturday where the school invited Dr. Sulochna. In the session she explained how teachers can overcome their stress and anxiety. She also gave some tips how we can improve our mental health. She also emphasized on taking a good diet along with some yoga and meditation tips.
Pick and speak (10th November)
By the literacy club under the supervision of Leena mam a pick and speak event was organized to develop the speaking skills of the teachers in which the teachers themselves wrote the topics. Later, the topics were taken by picking chits by the teachers. The session was a big boost to all teachers to leave their hesitation and express their views.
Flower decoration (12th November)
To celebrate the festivity of Deepawali teachers did an activity based on flower and leaves arrangement under the guidance of Aparna mam. The Marigold flowers and mango leaves are considered to be very auspicious which are used to decorate houses at the time of festivals. an active participation was given by the staff.
Parent orientation on Standard and Basic Maths (21st November)
An orientation program was organised for the students for class 10th in which the Maths department explained the difference between Standard and Basic Maths . They also explained why is it needed to opt any of one for higher studies. They also given career guidelines to the children so a clarity can be in them while choosing streams further. After the orientation a Google form was sent to the parents for their feedback. The parents gave a positive feedback in reference to the program.
Session on State government (26th November)
Making the teachers aware about the state government proceedings in form of MLA and MLC a session was conducted by the kannada department under the supervision of Siddhalingaiah sir. A limelight was put on the aspects of the government and its workings by Siddhalingaiah sir. A clarity was given to the teachers about MLA and MLC. As the teaching faculty also have a right to vote for the MLC elections.
Conflicts (27th November)
A session based on Conflicts in workplaces and the effects of it over the environment of the institution and its employees was discussed by Usha mam. Resolutions to resolve conflicts were also discussed. It was an interactive session where the teachers participated in a enthusiastic way by discussing their opinions on such conflicts.
Worksheets on skill and basic (27th November)
A session was done to explain teachers about worksheets in which about the Bloom’s Taxonomy explanation was given and how it need to be implemented at the time of designing a worksheet as per the need of the student which was very helpful for the staff. The session was also followed by a quiz in a form of a small worksheet to be solved by the teachers. A google form was sent in school group where questions based on skill worksheets were given to the teachers.
Vivekananda jayanthi (Youth Day) 12th January
On the occasion of Vivekananda jayanthi importance of the day was told by Siddhalingaiah sir. Later the staff worshipped the idol of Swami Vivekananda by offering flowers to it.
Republic day ( 26 January)
On the occasion of Republic day the school conducted a short program. The flag was hoisted by the principal and management members. Speeches were given in multilingual languages by Nancy mam, Narsimappa sir and Hemavati mam. A patriotic song was performed by the staff.
Basanth Panchmi ( 16 February)
On Basant Panchmi the school offered prayer to Goddess Saraswati followed by Prasad. The new 10th batch was also started the same day as it’s an auspicious day for our beloved students.
Science day Celebration (28th February)
A collage making competition was organized by the science department on the occasion of science day where the students participated wonderfully in groups of class 6th to 8th.
Deeksha Divas (3rd April)
To cherish the memories of outgoing 10th std class 9th organized DEEKSHA DIWAS for them as a special day to give a farewell to them . It was a formal program where the students shared their views about the school and staff. Chief guest encouraged the students to do well in life. The program was followed by a tasty lunch.
