ANNUAL REPORT THE YEAR 2018-19


Namaste, Good evening everyone, respected Chief Guest, Vice-President, Secretary, Management Members, Staff, Students and my dear parents I once again welcome you to this wonderful gathering.

Firstly, I congratulate our staff, parents and students of our institution that our school has got affiliation from Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi on 2nd January 2019. CBSE Affiliation No.830892, and School Code : 41692.

Now I take the pleasure of presenting school’s Annual Report for the academic year 2018-19. Bala Bharathi Kendriya Vidyalaya is being run under the aegis of Jana Kalyana Kendra. Jana Kalyana Kendra was established in 1974 with amiable guidance of Sri Govindappa Shetty and Dr.K.B.Thimmaraya. Jana Kalyana Kendra started its first school at Gandhi Nagar Ballari with only 9 students and now the strength is 1700.

As many of you know Bala Bharathi Kendriya Vidyalaya was started on June 2016 for classes LKG to 5th consisting 89 students for the Academic Year 2016-17 and at present the school has 695 students and 60 employees.

For this tremendous growth, I honestly appreciate co-operation of Management, Staff, Parents, Students and Well-Wishers of the school who supported us to the maximum.

The academic year 2018-19 started from 25.05.2018 whereas full-fledged classes from 1st Std to 9th Std.

Next the school observed World Environmental Day on 5th June in collaboration with Department of Forest. The event made the students to realize the importance of environmental conservation and preventing Global Warming. With all the staff we have planted some plants and drawing competition was conducted on the theme of “GO GREEN”.

Being a school which gives more importance to a Bharathiya Samskruthi, on June 21st “INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY” was celebrated in the school. All the staff and students were gathered in campus. Importance of Pranayama and Meditation and Yoga Aasan done by our students with the help of Shri Ramesh Pawarji.

On June 26th the school had celebrated “HINDU SAMRAJYOTHSAVA” with all the Staff and Students. On that day, the staff members of the school are weared Hindu Cultural Dress.

We had celebrated Doctor’s Day on 30th June. The Chief Guests of the function were the famous doctors of the Ballari District, Dr.Ramaswamy and Dr.Shashidhar. Firstly the student of our school Bala Bharathi Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anagha of Class VIII given the speech about the importance of the Doctor’s Day. A skit done by Class 7th, 8th and 9th Std on the theme of importance of the Doctor’s Day.

On 6th July, the school celebrated the birth day of the famous personality Dr.Shyam Prasad Mukharji Janma Dina. He was the founder of Bharathiya Jana Sangh which merged itself into Janatha Party. A veteran politician, he was respected by his friends and foes alike for his knowledge and forthrightness. He outshined all other Ministers in the cabinet except perhaps Pandit Nehru by his erudition and culture. India lost a great son at a very early stage of Independence. The Autobiography of Dr.Shyam Prasad Mukharji was given by our staff.

As all you know that Chandra Shekar Azad and Lokamanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The School had celebrated the their Janmasthami on 23rd July. Chadra Shekar Azad the great fighter of Indian Independence as well as Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The Autobiography of Azad and Lokamanya Tilak was given by our school staff and student.

Our School has celebrated Captains Investiture Ceremony on 29.08.2018. On that day the school elected School Captain and School Vice- Captain and also elected four house captains and four house vice-captains. The four houses are Tunga House, Bhadra House, Krishna House and Cauvery House. Followed by that March Past with Salute to the Flag done by the students.

Independence day was celebrated on 15th August, National flag was hoisted by Smt.Roopashree.Y.R., Vice-Principal of the School followed by cultural programmes. The day made students to realise the importance of National Pride and Patriotism. At last the National Anthem was sung by all the staff members and students of the school.

On 20th August the school observed Sanskrithotsava. We invited Sri Chandrashekaraya Hiremath, Principal, Ballari Sanskrit College as a Chief Guest. The Chief Guest of the programme inaugurated the function on the first day. The seven days programme was held in the school on the observance of the Sanskrithotsava. Events were organised and conducted by Sri Venkatesh, Sanskrit Teacher of the School. The events are Sangha Kreeda, Bhajan, Exhibition of Things, Information of Sanskrit Online, Quiz, Sanskrit Shlokas, Chanting, Etc.

The International Sports Day was conducted by the School on 29th August. Games were conducted for both students and staff members of the school.

On 2nd September, Shri Krishna Janmastami was celebrated in the school. On that day our staff explain about the importance of the Janmasthami. Fancy dress competition was conducted for 1st and 2nd Standard students as Krishna and Radha.

Dance performance was given by Kruthi and Pinku of Class 8th.

As you know about Teacher’s Day, the school celebrated the birth day of Dr.Radhakrishnan as Teacher’s Day. Assembly presentation given by students and importance of Teacher’s Day given by of our staff. Session program was conducted by our beloved students and all the teachers were awarded according to their qualities.

On 7th September Pupil Tree school had conducted Inter-School Literary Fest-2018 in their school premises. Total 14 students participated in that competition from our school for different language competitions. Bala Bharathi Kendriya Vidyalaya students won 5 prizes in all the categories. It will be the pride and happy moment for our institution.

On 1st November, Karnataka Rajyothsava was celebrated. The programme started with flag hoisting followed by speeches and cultural programmes.

On 18th November, The Round Table, India and Ladies Corner, India conducted a drawing competition on the theme “Swatch Bharath”. Our school students also participated on that competition and got participation certificates on that event.

On November 23rd the school celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanthi. Guru Nanak was the renowned founder of Sikh dharma. We are celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanthi every year in the school in the remembrance of the slogan the slogan “Sarva Dharma Samanvaya”.

On 28th November Shloka Chanting Activity and Singing Competition was held in the school. On November 30th, The School has celebrated the Jayanthi of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji was the founder of Indian Army. He had the slogan “Aap Mujhe Khoon Do, Mai aapko aajadi doonga”. Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India, but whose attempt during World War II to rid India of British rule with the help of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan left a troubled legacy.

On 18th December Geetha Jayanthi was celebrated in the School. Chanting of Shlokas of Bhagadwad Geetha competition was conducted on that day. Swamiji from Mantralaya inaugurated the function. The Geetha Jayanthi was grandly celebrated in the school.

Inter School Quiz Competition : Bala Bharathi Kendriya Vidyalaya conducted district level Inter School Quiz Competition on 4th January at the first time. Many schools around Ballari district participated in this quiz competition. Jindal Vidya Mandir are the winners of the quiz competition and Nandi School (State) are the Runners up of the competition.

On January 12th Annual Sports Meet 2019 “Parikrama 2019” was conducted. Sports Superintendent Sri Rahamatulla, Block Education Officer, East Block Sri Venkatesh Ramachandrappa and our School President Sri Sankal Chand Bagrecha were the Chief Guests for this programme. Students of our school had presented cultural dances, folk dances etc. in this programme. Athletic competition was held at this moment for four houses. Many students won the prizes and certificates by participating in this event. The children presented Pyramid show during this programme. Lastly the programme ends with light snacks.

On January 18th, Rangoli competition was held in the school. The students of the school drawn very beautiful Rangoli.

On 26th January the school celebrated grandly “The Republic Day”. Our Vice-Principal Smt.Roopashree.Y.R. hoisted the Indian flag. Children had done cultural programmes on that day and the patriotic songs were sung by both teacher and students.

Jilla Prathibha Karanji competition was conducted by the education department in our school. Students participated in various competitions held by the education department and won the prizes.

This year we have 20 RTE students were studying in the school from the village Sridharagadda. The School has given preference for the rural students to study in our school. The motive of our school is to give education for poor and rural students. At the first year in 2017-18, we have only 3 RTE children in our school. But at the very next year we had 20 RTE children in our school. We never demanded any fees or amount for the RTE students who are studying over here.

To make students aware of our great epic Bhagawad Gita, Exam was conducted on Bhagawad Gita and students received certificates and medals for the same.

As you know that our school has got CBSE Affiliation on 2nd January 2019. CBSE Affiliation Number is 830892 and School Code is 41692 and the DISE Code of the school is 29120910805.

Apart from this, school has observed many special days like Raksha Bandhan, Krishnastami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Farmers Day Kanakadasa Jayanthi, Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi, etc.

Throughout the year many house wise competitions like Rakhi Making, Pot-Decoration, Bouquet making, Rangoli, Handwriting, Painting, Pick and Speak, Shloka Chanting, Maths Quiz, Memory Test, and many others.

Sports competitions like Handball, Football, Kabaddi, Throw Ball, Shuttle, Track events and many other recreation games.

Our Kindergarten being very active section of the school, conducted many activities like, fruits day, vegetable day, various colour days, mask day and others.

Educational Tour was conducted from 19th December to 23rd December to Mangalore to Dharmasthala from Class 6 to Class 9 and our school nursery students went Dr.Raj Kumar Park, Rameshwari Nagar, Ballari Zoo, etc. From Class 3 to Class 5 went to Sandur on 10th December and from Class 1 to Class 2 went to Dammur Matt on 12th December and

The activities and events which I have mentioned till now are only few highlights of the school’s functioning for the academic year 2018-19

I honestly thank management, staff members; students and parents efforts because without your support none of the above told activities might have been successful. I conclude the Annual Report by saying that we are still learning and life is always learning. We learn, we teach, we grow, we help others to grow and we make honest efforts to make this wonderful nation to grow with its traditional roots.
